Day 33 - Farmers gravel pit to a gravel pit - 106km
Rolled into Mt. Surprise a lovely little town, what I saw first was a lovely old house with beautiful garden it was the police station. I headed to the roadhouse and went inside. It felt like it hadn't aged in 30 years, on old lady shuffled out and I bought a couple of drinks and a burger to go.
The sign out front said they make burger like they used to and they weren't wrong, toasted bun and beetroot, just what I needed.
I hit the Kennedy Hwy, its always nice heading onto a new road they all have different feels to them and this road feels faster. Through 40 mile scrub, the road to the left burned and bare, the left lush and bursting with life.
I pulled into a gravel pit and had a little fire, wood ample and sipped on some herbal tea.
