Day 54 - Lotus Creek to Marlbourough - 122km
the road starred to turn as I was heading back to the Bruce Highway and back to the B-doubles and traffic. Coming down through the hills and back to sea level.
The final 10km I had a terrible headwind, so close but it felt the hardest part. I made it to the Bruce and got a strawberry milk at the servo, behind the servo was a large free camp, scattered with a few caravans.
I had survived the murder valley but since I left Townsville it was the first time I was back on the Bruce Highway. I enjoy the mix of taking remote roads until I run out of supplies and taking the main highway until I get sick of the traffic.
